Another Tapas Bar Coming to Vanderbilt Avenue

Plan B owner's second area venture slated to open next month.

 

Another tapas bar is opening on Vanderbilt Avenue.

Greg Trautman, owner of is getting ready to open Cork, a wine and tapas bar at 659 Vanderbilt Ave., bet. Prospect and Park places, replacing the shuttered Forest Floor.

The restaurant, which will seat about 30 and serve "high end" food, according to Trautman, is slated to open next month. 

Trautman, who lives around the corner on Park Place, opened the sports bar Plan B four years ago.

"I just love the neighborhood," he said. "Plan B has been a great experience and I want to continue that by opening a place to go for a good glass of wine." 

Cork joins , a tapas restaurant on Vanderbilt and Bergen, which opened in 2005. , a golf-themed beer and burger spot on Vanderbilt between Park and St. Marks, is also expected to open within a few weeks.
