Brooklyn Gateway Transportation Workshop on March 31st

City Councilmember Tish James leads meeting on bike lanes and safe sidewalks

Commuter and with that has come simmering rivalries between cyclists and pedestrians. Patch articles about bikes in Prospect Park ( and ) have prompted passionate responses in the comments section across Patch sites.

Now is the chance for Prospect Heights residents to address their concerns about transportation with the city government. Tish James, the Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council, the Boerum Hill Association, the Park Slope Civic Council and the Tri-State Transportation Campaign are coming together to provide a forum where residents can express their views.

The BK Gateway Transportation workshop will be held Sunday, March 31st, at the YWCA on 3rd Avenue and Atlantic. Due to limited space, participants must register by email with bsherman@council.nyc.gov.
