According to the Barclays Center, his legacy was commemorated with gifts that represent "his journey in his personal life and career. "

Barclays Center sought out Brooklyn artist One-9 to design a custom stained wooden piece for Jay Z. The art piece is based on One-9’s signature chess piece collection. The original piece features neighborhoods in Brooklyn that have impacted the "life and times" of Jay Z. The second gift was a custom blue sapphire birthday piece created for Blue Ivy Carter while Beyoncé was at the Barclays last month.

Before his first show on Jan. 12, Barclays Center gifted Jay Z with a Lorraine Schwartz designed leather bracelet with two interlocking blue sapphire B’s, for Beyoncé and Blue Ivy. He wore the bracelet on stage during his shows in Brooklyn.
