Brooklyn’s own Barbra Streisand may be returning to the borough in October to perform at the Barclays Center, according to a recent report.
Though arena officials have not publicly confirmed the concerts, details were posted on ESPN.com and Simply-Showbiz.com, with hints dropped by Borough President Marty Markowitz and Councilmember Letitia James (the latter allegedly mentioning offhand that Streisand “has a couple of days" at the arena, according to Atlantic Yards Report).
Streisand’s last performance in New York City was a special show for fans and VIPs at the intimate jazz club Village Vanguard, back in September 2009. Previously, she performed sold-out concerts at Madison Square Garden in 2006.
