Photo of the Day: Mystery Flowers

A daily look at Prospect Heights though our lens—and yours.

Anyone know what these flowers are? Saw them in Park Slope, but just over the border.

See a photo-worthy Prospect Heights moment? Snap a picture on your phone and e-mail it to Amy.Clark@patch.com and I'll put it on the site. (Or, even better, Upload it to our Pics & Clips section).

I believe the flowers/beans photographed in Park Slope are Lablab (Lablab purpureus)

Thanks KLPBklyn! I've never seen anything like them. Amazing flowers.

Thanks for naming the plant. I've seen this at BBG by the lily pool terrace. They called it Purple hyacinth beans, which is the same as Lablab purpureus, of course. Nice shot, Amy!
