Jay-Z to Livestream Final Barclays Show
The show will start on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on Jay-Z's new YouTube channel.
Regretting that you didn’t score a ticket for one of Jay-Z’s eight shows at the Barclays Center? The rapper will be live streaming Saturday’s final concert online, as pointed out by the New York Post, so you can skip the crowds and have a virtual front row seat.
The show will start on Saturday at 9:30 p.m., via Jay-Z’s new channel on YouTube, named after his Life + Times web site. He bills the site as “just a bit of inspiration.”
Jay-Z kicked off the first of eight shows last Friday, christening the new Barclays Center, of which he is a minority owner. During the week of shows, he performed from his catalogue of hit singles – “Empire State of Mind,” “Encore” and “03 Bonnie and Clyde,” for example – as well as some older tracks, like “Where I’m From.” Jay-Z even paid homage to Brooklyn’s other hip-hop legend, Notorious B.I.G., by rapping a few bars of “Juicy.”
