Wine & Books Holiday Party

You and your Mini(s) are cordially invited to meet Brooklyn children’s authors Jennifer Nails and Judy Palaferro.

Get signed copies of authors’ books, enjoy a glass of wine (or two!), and grab free balloon creations for your Mini(s) from the Ballooniac!

All ages are welcome but only the grownups get the wine!

Jen Nails’ first middle grade novel, Next to Mexico (HMH, 2008), was adapted from her solo play, Lylice, and was inspired by characters that she created during improv shows. She has performed all over the US and internationally, and has been featured in dozens of national commercials. Jen currently teaches college English in Jersey City, and creative writing for kids in Brooklyn. She is a contributing writer for Time Out New York Kids.

Judy Palaferro is a graphic designer, textile artist and illustrator. She is the creator of Color Bears, a silver Moonbeams Award for the board book category and Horace’s Big Hat. Judy re-energized well loved themes of bears and hats to engage the early reader with bold and vibrant art while they learn with educatar approved patterned text. Judy expresses her love of color, pattern and drawing in both of her books.
