R. C. Nesbitt: "Works on Glass" Opening Reception

Food and drink specials are abundant at Ron Nesbit's opening reception, taking place at local hotspot Woodwork.

Nesbitt has refined a technique for painting on glass, on coffee table tops or window panesgiven to him by friends and patrons. The material gives his works their characteristic depth, allowing him to add in backgrounds at a literal remove, on the reverse of the glass. Boats, airplanes, and athletes in the foreground, then, cast real shadows. They are frozen in thedrama of these stage sets. Within his miniature battlefields, stadiums, and utopias, Nesbitt directs the action with painstaking detail. Come see his unique work up close and personal.
