PS9 MOVIE NIGHT 1/20 at 6PM "PONYO"

Join us on Friday January 20th for PS9's Movie Night event. We will be showing Miyazaki's "PONYO". If you've never seen the film, I encourage you & your family to come out and see it. It's a very sweet and life-affirming film completely devoid of cynicism. Its animation is 100% hand-drawn and it's quite beautiful to look at.

Also, I think kids enjoy PONYO - and many of Miyazaki's movies - because it revels in both the fantastic and the mundane. The magic of making a toy boat into a real boat is on equal terms with the magic of instant ramen soup. Household chores are taken up with the same enthusiasm as wayward adventures.
