Caryl Phillips: Migration and Belonging Before and After 9/11
Born in St. Kitts and brought up in the UK, Phillips has written about the experience of migration for more than thirty years through his award-winning novels, plays, and essays.
Today he will read from "Color Me English," a collection of essays, and reflect on the shifting notions of race, culture, and belonging before and after the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
