Art Not Arrests: Introduction to Music

Ages: 3-8

In this weekly music class children will be given an opportunity to share and play music with one another through sing-along, experimenting with instruments, and guided movement - all reflecting the themes and surroundings of the Community Garden.

With a variety of different acoustic, electronic, and percussion instruments, children will learn call and response, rhythm exercises, and have a chance to explore free form improvisational play-along. The class will also include individual ‘mini-lessons’ on guitar for those children who are interested.
