Crown Heights 'Google Glass' Doc Premieres Next Month

Film looks at relationships between Hasidic, West Indian communities.

In an event filmmakers are calling a first, a documentary shot entirely with Google Glass in Crown Heights will debut next month in Brooklyn.

The documentary, Project 2x1, is an exploration of the blending of the West Indian and Hasidic communities in Crown Heights. It's a look at the neighborhood's shifting demographics and the way interpersonal relationships form between members of divergent communities all living within blocks of each other.

The filmmakers gave Google Glass to multiple Crown Heights residents, hoping that they would honestly document their day within the neighborhood.

The documentary that resulted will debut Dec. 8 at 231 Rogers Ave. in Crown Heights at 8 p.m.
