Brooklyn Artists: GO Registration Extended to July 10

Program opens studios across borough to community, who will then choose artists to participate in Brooklyn Museum exhibit.

 

On September 8-9, artists across Broolyn will open their studios to the community.

The public will then nominate their favorite artists to be included in a group exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum on Target First Saturday on Dec. 1.

Called GO, the community-curated art show project has the goal of empowering Brooklyn's art-loving public to vote on the work they want to see.

The deadline for artists to register was originally Friday, June 29, but due to a power outage that took down GO's website, the deadline has been extended until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10

Voter registration opens on Aug. 1.

As of June 26, 1128 artists in 67 neighborhoods around the boroughregistered, according to GO's website.
