Barclays Center Hosting Super Bowl 'Kickoff in Brooklyn'
Three-night event includes boxing, basketball and a concert featuring the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
With the Super Bowl set to hit the New York/New Jersey area soon, Brooklyn is joining in the fun with a weekend of sports and entertainment at the Barclays Center.
The weekend kicks off Jan. 30 when a pair of former Welterweight champions -- ‘Vicious’ Victor Ortiz and Brooklyn’s own Luis Collazo -- will square off for the WBA International Welterweight title. In the 10-round co-main event, New York phenom Eddie ‘E-Boy’ Gomez meets top prospect Daquan ‘King’ Arnett in a clash of junior middleweight unbeatens.
On Friday night the Brooklyn Nets host superstar Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7:30 p.m.
Capping off the three-night event leading up to the Super Bowl is 'WFAN’S BIG HELLO TO BROOKLYN' concert featuring the Red Hot Chili Peppers, New Politics and more at 7 p.m.
