As Traffic Worries Locals, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke Set to Make VMAs Even Bigger

Pop stars sign on to headline the Barclays Center event.

Amidst local concerns about traffic and sanitation issues that the Video Music Awards could cause, singers Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke have signed onto the extensive list of performers, according to USA Today.

The Aug. 25 awards show, which celebrates the best music videos in the industry and will be held at the Barclays Center, already includes performances by megastars Kanye West, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

Barclays Center neighbors have expressed frustration about disruptions on the night of the event. Some are also annoyed that MTV has not donated money to local charities or block associations, only offering limited $75 discounted tickets.
