Arts Calendar: What's Up at BRIC and BAM?

This week in Brooklyn's arts scene.

Thanksgiving week is maybe not the best time to be looking for New York City's arts scene. Even the most devoted patron of the theater is probably skipping it this week to eat turkey and watch the Macy's balloons blow up in Central Park.

But Brooklyn's still got a couple of things going down. Here's what:

At BAM: Akim Funk Buddha Hip Hop Holiday, kicking off Friday at BAM, is a blend of everything from dance to throat-singing. Friday and Saturday night will each have a unique theme, so check out the BAM website to pick your night.

At BRIC House: Not much in the way of performances this week at BRIC House, but you can still check out their inaugural exhibit, Housewarming, through the middle of December.
