5 Things You Need to Know Today: Wacky Tuesdays, Animae, Comedy and More

Prospect Heights events and information you won't want to miss.

1-    You need to know where to take the tots. Today is  at the Brooklyn Children's Museum, so why not take the 10-minute ride on the B65 today? Children will explore art, science, and culture "in a fun and wacky way," according to the museum. Ages 5 and under are welcome. 145 Brooklyn Ave., 11:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. $7.50, free for babies 12 months and under.

2- You need to know how to get your t(w)een to the library. Maybe the at the Central Library will do the trick. The group watches the latest anime while discussing and drawing characters. Every Tuesday at 4 p.m., 10 Grand Army Plaza, Free.

3- You need to know how to laugh. Head out to A, for your weekly tutorial. 807 Classon Ave., 8:30 p.m, free, but there is a one-drink minimum.

4- You need to know what's going on in your neighborhood. If you live near Franklin Avenue, head to The , where they will discuss their (so far pretty successful) efforts to revitalize Franklin Avenue. 721 Franklin Ave., 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Free and open to all.

5. You need to know if your train is running. Today it is. There are no service changes that affect Prospect Heights, according to the MTA Web site.
