5 Things: Ibsen at BAM and Rock/Folk/Punk/Country at Way Station

1. Get to know some good folks.
 Head to The Way Station and listen to Hugh Hothem, Matt Wissler and Out of System Transfer play. Musically, Hugh was first taught drumming from the legendary jazz drummer Johnny Blowers. He also plays guitar and has performed solo gigs throughout the United Kingdom, most notably at the Edinburgh Festival. The Way Station, 683 Washington Avenue, 8 p.m.

2. Get to business. Go to Pratt Area Community Council for their Small Business Workshop: Corporate Structure. The interactive workshop focuses on­ the foundation­ of the corporate structure of your business. Learn­ the different types of corporate structures an­d which type of structure is right for your business; what resources are available to assist you in­ the process and strategies professionals use when­ incorporating their business. PRATT AREA COMMUNITY COUNCIL, 896-900 FULTON ST, 2ND FLOOR, 6:30 p.m.

3. Go to the theater. Don’t miss Henrik Ibsen’s play The Master Builder at BAM. Park Slope resident and actor, John Turturro plays a “ruthless and revered architect” named Halvard Solness who is “obsessively driven” until a “young woman from his past stops him in his tracks” played by Wrenn Schmidt. BAM Harvey Theater, 7:30 p.m.

4. Wish Morrissey Happy Birthday. Don’t miss AT LAST I AM BORN: A MORRISSEY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION at The Bell House! The music of Morrissey, Johnny Marr & co. lives on with The Sons & Heirs, a NYC-based tribute band that brings the experience of seeing The Smiths live to the stage. Singer Ronnissey, guitarist Ravi Marr, bassist Christian Rourke and drummer Jonathan Joyce recreate the songs & stage performance of The Smiths with stunning authenticity. The Sons & Heirs have been performing at some of the best venues on the east coast since 2006 and have shared the stage with the likes of Smiths bassist Andy Rourke and Morrissey drummer Spencer Cobrin. The Bell House, 149 Seventh Street, 7 p.m.
