5 Things: '70s Groove Party and Free Kids Lacrosse Clinic

Prospect Heights-area information and events you won't want to miss.

1. Get Funky. Relive the '70s at The Cookie Cutta Experience at The Way Station for a "70s Groove Party full of Funktastic Flava." Come dressed in your '70s best. The Way Station, 9 p.m. No cover.

2. Give the kids a taste of Lacrosse. The Brooklyn Lacrosse Club is holding the first of three Free Youth Clinics for boys and girls from Pre-K through 8th grade. P.S. 10, 511 7th Ave. at 17th Street, 12 to 3 p.m. Free.

3. Jazz it up. For a night of jazz, head to the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music to hear the Javon Jackson Quartet with special guest Ron Carter. 58 7th Ave. at Lincoln Place, 7 p.m. $15 to $25 (kids $10).

4. Go country. On the other hand, there's a great country/honky-tonk/post-punk line-up tonight at Union Hall with Alex Battles and the Whiskey Rebellion, Karen and the Sorrows and Tatters and Rags. The country-fest is followed by Crazy $ince Da 90$ a DJ'd romp through the decade's hip hop, R&B, pop, house, grunge and alternative. Country begins at 9 p.m. and is $8, the 90s-fest begins at 11:30 p.m. and is free.

5. Leave the car. No need to find a Tuesday spot over the weekend because Alternate Site will be suspended Monday for President's Day.
