Greenlight Kids Story Time, This week, peter Brown, author of Children Make Terrible Pets, will read from his books and do a drawing. In addition, the shop will be holding a fundraiser for First Book-Brooklyn, the local chapter of the national nonprofit organization that provides new books to kids in need, and will donate 20 percent of all sales of children's books and toys to the organization. Ages 3-7. , 686 Fulton St. (at S Portland St), 11 a.m., Free.

Lefferts House Events Today the historic house is hosting Race Around the Farmyard, where the whole family can participate in potato sack races, stilts and other old-fashioned games (2:30 to 3:30 p.m.). For older kids there are also  Second Floor Tours (1-4:30 on the half hour) Lefferts Historic House at Prospect Park (Use entrance at Empire Boulevard and Flatbush and Ocean Avenues), Kids free, $3 suggested for adults.

 Make all-natural and recycled crafts with a new project each week. The Audubon Center at the Boathouse (just inside the Lincoln Road/Ocean Ave. entrance to Prospect Park). 1-2 p.m., all ages, Free.

Transit Museum Events Today there are two events for kids at the museum: "Miles of Tiles," where kids discover the art of mosaic making that beautifies NYC's subway stations and then experiment with unique patterns and designs with glass tile (tor ages 4+, 1:30 p.m.); and "Transit Comic Strips" where kids will use archival and current photos of buses and subways and Comic Life software to design a transit- themed comic strip of their own (for ages 6+, 2:30 p.m., space is limited so get there early). New York Transit Museum, Corner of Boerum Pl & Schermerhorn St, 1:30 p.m., Free with museum admission (adults $7, kids 2-17 and seniors $5).

Princess Show at Adventurer's  Although out of our regular coverage area, this one is worth noting: Brooklyn is getting a Princess Show! Bring your little princess out to Adventurer's amusement park to enjoy this live 20-minute children's show. This free staged production features a singing Cinderella, a tumbling Tinkerbell, and lots of popular songs for your little Adventurer to sing along to as they help the Princesses solve a mystery! 1824 Shore Parkway (just off the Belt Pkwy between Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst, there's free parking or take the D Train to 25th Avenue). 5 and 6:30 p.m. Show is free, $3 per ticket for the rides.
