Here's the weekly lowdown on kids events in Prospect Heights plus a selection from Prospect Park, North Park Slope, Fort Greene, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Prospect Lefferts Gardens and Crown Heights.

Monday, March 19th

Tween Art Club Art projects for kids 8-12 in the Youth Wing of the Central Library. 4:00-5:00 PM, 10 Grand Army Plaza.

 Each week Annie Nieves will lead the group in an art project that promotes creativity and experimentation. The class also includes some independent play and concludes with music and a sing-a-long. For ages 2-5. , 755 Dean St. at Underhill. 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. $10/child ($5/additional sibling).

Big Brooklyn Playdate Kids participate in games and activities for young children that encourage early literacy. , 10 Grand Army Plaza, Dweck Center, 10:30 a.m.-noon. Free.

Ezra Jack Keats Bedtime Stories Ages 3-7 can attend this nighttime reading of children's favorite Ezra Jack Keats. Goes from 730 to 800 at the Central Library Youth Wing.

There are more than 250 species of birds in Prospect Park. See some of them at this weekly event that is engaging for both older children and adults. The Audubon Center at the Boathouse (just inside the Lincoln Road/Ocean Ave. entrance to Prospect Park), 12-1:30 p.m., Free.

 Make all-natural and recycled crafts with a new project each week. The Audubon Center at the Boathouse (just inside the Lincoln Road/Ocean Ave. entrance to Prospect Park). 1-3 p.m., all ages, Free.

Nature's Helpers Families can take a tour of the Park and its waterways and help keep it clean along the way. Gloves, garbage bags and trash grabbers will be provided. The Audubon Center at the Boathouse (just inside the Lincoln Road/Ocean Ave. entrance to Prospect Park). 2-3 p.m. Free.

Eggs-Stravaganzy Easter Egg Hunt For this seasonal event at the Brooklyn Children's Museum, eggs containing prizes are hidden throughout the museum. Start times are 9:30, 10:00, and 10:30. The museum will be closed to non-eggstravaganza visitors until 11:00. 145 Brooklyn Ave. bet. St. Marks and Prospect. Free with admission of $7.50 for everyone 1 year and older. 

Puppetworks' Puss in Boots Perrault's 1697 French Fantasy performed by Marionettes with an original song score and a "live" ogre. Suggested for kids 3+. Reservations suggested at 718-965-3391 or puppetworks@verizon.net. 338 Sixth Ave. at Fourth Street. 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. $8 adults, $7 kids.

Sunday, March 25th

 The Museum’s collections will inspire kids to imagine and create new worlds while exploring color and other elements of art in this ninety-minute class. , 200 Eastern Parkway, 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Ages 4-7, $10 plus museum admission of $12 adults, $8 seniors and students, children under 12, free.

Sunday Stories for Kids Come hear your favorite children's authors read their latest books. , 143 7th Ave, 11-1 p.m., Free.

Lefferts House Events Today this historic house has Second Floor Tours (1-3:30 on the half hour) and Handiwork: Tasks and Crafts from the Past (2:30-3:30 p.m.). Lefferts Historic House at Prospect Park (Use entrance at Flatbush and Ocean Avenues),  Free.

Baby Story Time with Vered. Vered is a Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter, music therapist, and mom. Her 2011 album Good Morning My Love was named as a favorite in USA Today. 11AM, Greenlight Bookstore 686 Fulton Street (at South Portland).
