 NOTE: Where to Go With the Kids is moving to Mondays beginning next week, Jan. 30. Because it will come out around noon, each calendar will now include the following Monday as well. 

 

Monday, January 23

 Play with toys and hear stories at this weekly event. Suitable for ages 18-36 months. Space is limited. Pick up a ticket at the library on the morning of the program.  , 10 Grand Army Plaza, 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Free.

 Each week Annie Nieves will lead the group in an art project that promotes creativity and experimentation. The class also includes some independent play and concludes with music and a sing-a-long. For ages 2-5. , 755 Dean St. at Underhill. 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. $10/child ($5/additional sibling).

 Kids ages 3-6 listen to a story and then make a craft based on it. This event take place the fourth Monday of the month. , 10 Grand Army Plaza, 4 p.m. Free.

Sea Lion Feeding This daily event features the Prospect Park Zoo sea lions showing off their dives, catching fish mid-air and other tricks. , 450 Flatbush Avenue, 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m., Free with zoo admission of $8 adults, $5 kids 3-12. 

 

Tuesday, January 24

Note: Prospect Park Children's Events will return in February. The park doesn't hold events in January because attendance is traditionally low, a spokesman said.  

Greenlight Kids Story Time The Greenlight staff will read The Man in the Moon and The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales. , 686 Fulton St (at S Portland St), 11 a.m., ages 3-8, Free.

Using group exercises inspired by various dance and physical theater approaches, Musante's class aims to help students unleash their creativity through a blend of physical comedy, improvisation and kinesthetic learning. Reservations are required, RSVP@dancewave.org.   45 Fourth Avenue at Dean Street, 11 a.m. Free.

 The Wiyos transport us back to the 1920s and ’30s by inviting kids and adults alike to holler, stomp and sing along to old-time American folk music. Designed for children ages 3 to 6 but fun for the whole family.  Families will explore Georgia O'Keeffe's magnified perspectives. For children 7 and older with an adult companion. Space is limited to 25 participants. Transit Museum 'Your Attention Ladies and Gentlemen!' Learn the history of the subway’s public address announcements surrounded by the vintage cars on our platform level. Then head to the Technology Lab where kids become the conductor, by creating announcements of thir own. For ages 5+ New York Transit Museum, Corner of Boerum Pl & Schermerhorn St, 1:30 p.m., Free with museum admission (adults $7, kids 2-17 and seniors $5).  

 The full orchestra performance will feature Mil's Trills founder Amelia Robinson on her electric ukulele, joined by over 10 musical guests  and a recital by graduates of the Mil’s Trills Ukulele Workshop. Other special guests include a face-painter, mimes, and puppets. Suitable for adults with children ages 0-4. Families are encouraged to bring blankets, shakers & ukuleles. , 622 Degraw St., 3 p.m. $10 in advance per adult and $15 on the door.  Kids under 4 years are free.
