Monday, February 27 

Brooklyn Children's Museum Events The museum has events for kids all day. See their schedule here. 145 Brooklyn Ave. bet. St. Marks and Prospect. Free with admission of $7.50 for everyone 1 year and older.  

 Each week Annie Nieves will lead the group in an art project that promotes creativity and experimentation. The class also includes some independent play and concludes with music and a sing-a-long. For ages 2-5. , 755 Dean St. at Underhill. 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. $10/child ($5/additional sibling).

Sea Lion Feeding This daily event features the Prospect Park Zoo sea lions showing off their dives, catching fish mid-air and other tricks. , 450 Flatbush Avenue, 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m., Free with zoo admission of $8 adults, $5 kids 3-12.

Preschool Story and Craft Kids aged 3 to 6 hear a story and make a craft based on it. , 10 Grand Army Plaza, 4-5 p.m. Free. 


Tuesday, February 28 

 Kids 18-36 months hear picture books read aloud and play with other children. Space is limited. Pick up a ticket at the Children's Reference Desk on the morning of the program. , 10 Grand Army Plaza, 10:15 or 11 a.m. Free.

Greenlight Kids Story Time Brooklyn-based author and illustrator team Nadja Spiegelman and Trade Loeffler present their new “science-based comic” Zig and Wikki in The Cow. , 686 Fulton St (at S Portland St), 11 a.m., ages 3-8, Free.

There are more than 250 species of birds in Prospect Park. See some of them at this weekly event that is engaging for both older children and adults. The Audubon Center at the Boathouse (just inside the Lincoln Road/Ocean Ave. entrance to Prospect Park), 12-1:30 p.m., Free.

Lefferts House Events Today this historic house is hosting Second Floor Tours (1-3:30 on the half hour) and Handiwork: Tasks and Crafts from the Past (2:30-3:30 p.m.). Lefferts Historic House at Prospect Park (Use entrance at Flatbush and Ocean Avenues), Free.

 Make all-natural and recycled crafts with a new project each week. The Audubon Center at the Boathouse (just inside the Lincoln Road/Ocean Ave. entrance to Prospect Park). 1-3 p.m., all ages, Free.

Nature's Helpers Families can take a tour of the Park and its waterways and help keep it clean along the way. Gloves, garbage bags and trash grabbers will be provided. The Audubon Center at the Boathouse (just inside the Lincoln Road/Ocean Ave. entrance to Prospect Park). 2-3 p.m. Free.

Transit Museum: Redbird Reef Painting Children can paint the underwater world of Redbird Reef, an artificial reef composed of red subway cars that have been on the ocean floor for the past 10 years.  The Museum’s collections will inspire kids to imagine and create new worlds while exploring color and other elements of art in this ninety-minute class. , 200 Eastern Parkway, 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Ages 4-7, $10 plus museum admission of $12 adults, $8 seniors and students, children under 12, free.
