Share Your Announcements and Events on Patch

Readers can post events and announcements for free on Prospect Heights Patch's events calendar. Here's how!

Are you hosting a neighborhood stoop sale or organizing a fundraiser for a local nonprofit? You probably want to get the news out to as many people in Prospect Heights as possible.

Prospect Heights Patch is happy to help. Community members are welcome to post area happenings directly to our events calendar. You can even add photos, videos and PDFs. You can also post an announcement for anything that isn't time-specific (volunteers/donations needed, class registratrion open, lost and found, birth announcements etc.)

Best yet? Our event and announcement postings are completely free.

Ready to post your event? Here are the steps:

  1. Log in. If you don’t have an account with Patch, you’ll have to create one. They’re free and we won’t send you lots of emails unless you ask to receive our newsletter
  2. Click on "Post an Event" under where it says "Contribute" on the very, very bottom of the homepage.
  3. Then, you just have to fill out all of the relevant information. The forms with an asterisk, like the Event Title, are required. (Keep titles short, don't use all caps.)
  4. When you’re done, simply click “Post My Event” and it will go to the editor for approval. Events are usually approved within 24 hours. Share it with your friends, your groups, and spread the word!

If you have any questions, or if your event is urgent and needs immediate approval, e-mail Editor Amy Sara Clark at Amy.Clark@Patch.com.
