The QueensWay, a proposed High Line-style park on the old Rockaway Line, will be discussed at Tuesday night's Forest Hills Civic Association meeting.
The meeting will kick off at 7:30 p.m., according to Civic President Barbara Stuchinski, at the American Legion Hall at 107-15 Metropolitan Avenue.
The line, which has lain dormant for years, is all of a sudden a very hot property. QueensWay organizers have been trying for the better part of a year to gather support for their plan to turn the unused former railroad line into a park.
At a Forest Hills Civic meeting earlier this year, City Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz said she worried the line could be reactivated as a shuttle to bring gamblers and racing enthusiasts to the new Aqueduct Racino.
Koslowitz said she was firmly against the idea.
QueensWay activists will present their park plans and answer questions from residents.
There will also be a local crime report during the meeting.
