Police Blotter: MacBook Burglary Day

Three days, three thefts, three MacBooks stolen

The following information was supplied by the 77th Precinct of the NYPD. It does not indicate a conviction.

The First

A 39-year-old woman returned home from dinner on the night of August 15 and discovered thieves had broken into her apartment located on Washington Ave. near Prospect Pl. The unidentified thieves gained access through a rear window and removed items totaling $1,650. The items included a Macbook laptop and three rings.

The Second

A burglary occurred on Washington Ave. near St. Mark's Ave. on August 16 around midnight. A 31-year-old woman said unknown thieves entered through a rear window and stole several items. The thieves then left through the same window in an unknown direction. A canvas of the area produced no results. The item stolen was a Macbook laptop totaling $1,000.

 

The Third

A 23-year-old woman was the victim of a burglary in her apartment on Bergen St. and Washington Ave. on the afternoon of August 17.  The unknown thieves entered the apartment through a back window and stole a Macbook Pro worth $2,000. The police canvassed the area with no positive results.

 

What Kind of Candy is This?

A 24-year-old man was making a delivery on the corner of Underhill Ave. and Lincoln Pl., when he said a thief broke into his white, 2004 Chevy van and stole several items. The incident occured on August 19 around 4:00pm. The victim left the vehicle unlocked, but the doors were closed and the perp stole $4,000 worth of items including $2,000 in cash, two boxes of tobacco totaling $1,000 and one box of candy totaling $1,000.
