PHOTOS: Crowds Ring in 2011 with Grand Army Plaza Fireworks
Brooklyn sends of 2010 with a bang – and a boom.
While hundreds of thousands gathered in Times Square last night, Prospect Heights had its own send-off with fireworks, music and warm wishes for a New Year.
Unseasonably warm temperatures drew a large crowd to Grand Army Plaza last night to ring in the New Year Brooklyn-style with bubbly, music from Brooklyn's Rock 'N' Soul Experience and a colorful display of fireworks. Brooklynites were joined by Borough President Marty Markowitz, whose office sponsored the event, Prospect Park Alliiance's Tupper Thomas, Senator Eric Adams and Council Member Stephen Levin, among others.
Here's our photographic account of the evening.
