Give Muffin and Rockaway Baby a Home

Muffin is a 2-year-old female domestic shorthair/mix, while Rockaway baby is a 3-year-old female terrier/pit bull mix.

We here at Prospect Heights Patch are animal lovers. That's why we've teamed up with Sean Casey Animal Rescue to feature one dog and one cat that need a loving home each week. If you think you would like to adopt either pet, call 718-436-5163 or stop by Sean Casey Animal Rescue, located at 153 East 3rd Street between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue.

This week our "Adopt Me" column features Muffin, a 2-year-old female domestic shorthair/mix, and Rockaway Baby, a 3-year-old female terrier/pit bull mix.

"Muffin is a very sweet cat," said Sean Casey, director of the animal rescue. "She gets allong well with other cats."

When Muffin was found, she had a microchip embedded in her which allowed her to be returned to her owners. But they didn't want to take her back, so now she is in the care of Sean Casey Animal Rescue.

Muffin is spayed, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas and ticks, and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. Included with her $100 adoption fee is a free veterinary exam at Sean Casey, one free month of pet health insurance and a microchip encoded with information that will help you find Muffin if she ever gets lost.

According to Casey, Rockaway Baby is "very sweet. She's got a lot of energy."

"She's good for someone with an active lifestyle," he added.

When Rockaway Baby was found, she was lying emaciated in a dumpster. But she has made a full recovery and is in excellent health. Now all she needs is a loving home.

Like Muffin, Rockaway Baby is spayed, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas and ticks, and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations.
