Frugal Family: Deals on Groceries, Clothes, Fitness and Museums

We're all watching our family budgets these days. Whether shopping with coupons or looking for two-for-one deals, we're taking advantage of all sorts of offers and savings that help us stretch our dollars.

This column will be dedicated to giving you five great local deals each week that will help your family’s bottom line, and since we do the scouting for you, you can save time as well as money.

This week, Frugal Family scoured our local sources to come up with great deals on groceries, fashionable maternity clothes, fitness and museum events for both kids and teens.

1.

Deals:

Tweed Wool Blend Coat by Olian: $154 (originally $220); size medium only.

Elbow Sleeve Front Tie Dress by Maternal America: $79 (originally $132); sizes small through large.

Short Puff Coat by Menonove: $102 (originally $204); sizes medium and large.

Good through: Sale items are generally the last few of each color or size left, so if you have your eye on something, act fast or it may be gone.

Deal: A free fitness class, Saturdays at 11 a.m. at the Lululemon Brooklyn Showroom, featuring instructors from Triomph Fitness.

Good through: Saturdays only; Triomph Fitness instructors will lead the class through February.

3.

Deal: The museum is free on the second and fourth full weekend of every month from 2-5 p.m., which just so happens to be this weekend.

Good through: Saturday and Sunday only.

4.

5. MET FOODS

Deals:

Thomas’ English Muffins: Buy one, get two free.

Alexrod yogurt: Three for $1.

White Rose tomato sauce: Four cans for $1.

Good through: Saturday, but be sure to check out their online circular on Sunday for new coupons.
