Former Parks Commish Pens Prospect Park Book Forward
Calls park the heart of Brooklyn in new book.
Former New York City Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe got all misty-eyed about Prospect Park in a new book out this month.
The Huffington Post published Benepe's forward from Prospect Park: Olmsted & Vaux's Brooklyn Masterpiece, last week, and Benepe shares an affinity for a park he didn't come to know until 2002.
Calling the park "Brooklyn's park, its heart, its centerpiece, and a magnet for all of Brooklyn," Benepe really sings Prospect Park's praises.
