Five Things You Need to Know: Soccer, Chess and 'Red Desert'

Prospect Heights-area happenings you don't want to miss.

1. You need to watch soccer. Head to Woodwork on Vanderbilt Ave for your pic of men's matches throughout the day and into the night, starting with Bulgari vs England in the European Championships at 2:15 p.m.

2. You need to play chess. Calling all teeneagers! The Central Library is hoding its weekly Chess for Teens event from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Teens of all skill level are welcome to join in.

3. You need to see the Brooklyn Bridge from the 74th floor of the fast-rising World Trade Center. Patch got a look inside the massive building's contrsuction.
