Five Things You Need to Know: No Q Train, Free Comedy, Toddler Time, More

Prospect Heights information and events you won't want to miss.

1. You need to laugh. Head to  for . 603 Vanderbilt. 8 p.m. $5 cover/1 drink min.

2. You need more music. If you can shell out the museum admission (then head to the Brooklyn Museum to hear the  series. This month there's MNDR, Amanda Warner and Peter Wade's electro pop duo and New Villager, Ben Bromley and Ross Simonini's innovative show that includes not only music but also animations and other forms of performance. . Museum admission $10, $6 (students and seniors). 7 p.m.

3.You need more music. Head to  's alt-rock/blues/soul and jazz sound. 9 p.m. , 30 Lafayette Ave. Free.

4. You need to get the kids out of the house. Head to the library for Toddler Time for kids 18 to 36 months.  ,  10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., ages 18-36 months, Free. 

5. You need to know if your train is running, and if you have to move your car. There will be no Q trains running between Prospect Park and 57 Street  from 11:30 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, this weekend, according to the MTA. If you want to get to the city, your best bet is to walk or take the 2 or 4 to Altantic Avenue and catch the N-train. If you're going the other way, take the Frankin Avenue Shuttle to Prospect Park, or catch the free shuttle bus, which makes stops at Prospect Park, 7 Av and Atlantic Av-Pacific St. There will be no suspension of alternate side until Passover on April 19 and 20, according to the NYC DOT.
