Film Fest, Proust Talk, Poetry Reading, Q Changes, Alternate Side Break, More

Prospect Heights information and events you won't want to miss.

1.You need to use your brain. Head to the library for a lecture on  , 3pm, , Free.

2. You need some good short films. Head to for the , curated by Pratt Institute students. There's a 6:30 p.m. showing and an 8:30 p.m. showing. $12, students (25 and under w/ valid student ID) are $9, BAM Cinema Club members are $7.

3. You need poetry. Head to for with Priscilla Becker, author of "Stories that Listen," Matvei Yankelevich, author of "Boris By The Sea," and Christian Hawkey, author of "Citizen Of." 7:30 p.m. , 686 Fulton St., Free.

4. You need to get the kids out of the house. Thanks to public school spring break, there are a ton of kids events this week, including  "Why The Sky is Far Away" and other Stories, which are multi-cultural tales celebrating nature.  Youth Wing, 2:30-3:30 p.m., Free. Or see our f.

5. You need to know if your train is running, and if you have to move your car. The late-night horror continues on the Q-train. Between about midnight and 5 a.m. your train stops at Atlantic or Pacific (depending on your direction). There you have to walk through the station to the opposite end and wait for your connecting train. This continues all week, according to the MTA. Alternate side is blessedly suspended through April 26 thanks to Passover, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter, according to the NYC DOT.
