Bus Routes, Traffic Patterns Also Changing For President

It's like the guy runs America or something.

Prospect Park announced earlier this week that it would be closed for six hours on Friday to accommodate the landing of Marine One for President Barack Obama's visit to Brooklyn.

Turns out, that won't be the only thing that's changing.

According to the Village Voice Runnin' Scared blog, the president will be landing at Kennedy International Airport at 1 p.m. Friday, choppering into the park, then taking a motorcade to P-Tech (whew!).

What this means for you, is changes to bus lines, and probably a bunch of snarled traffic all afternoon.

According to Runnin' Scared, the B15, B43 and B65 buses will be rerouted, and other bus routes could be delayed in Crown Heights, Bed-Stuy, Prospect Heights and other areas if the president's procession drives through them unexpectedly.

Best advice, then, is probably to avoid even moving through these areas Friday afternoon, if possible. Maybe take a spa day or something.
