5 Things You Need to Know: Walt Whitman, Markets and More

What you need to know to start your Saturday off right

1. You need Walt Whitman. Head to Central Library (10 Grand Army Plz.) at 3:30pm for their of Whitman's famous poem, "Song of Myself."

2. You need to celebrate the harvest. The potatoes planted last May at Prospect Park (Prospect Park. W. and 9th St.) will be today. To celebrate, fresh apple cider and the chance to churn butter will be available at the Lefferts House at 1:00pm.

3. You need a market. Stock up on all your favorite fresh foods at the weekly at Grand Army Plaza from 8:00am-4:00pm
