5 Things You Need to Know Today: Trivia Night, Teen Resume Workshop, Film Shorts, More

Prospect Heights-area information and events you won't want to miss.

2. You need to do something different. How about a night of (very) short films? Head to The Salon at 904 Pacific St. (at Washington Avenue) for as short as 7 minutes (and as long as 59 minutes). Plus there will be artwork  by Matt Tuteur, Ivan Gaete, Hovey Broch, CJYNES, Linda Herritt, Jermain Rogers, Douglas Ljungkv, and Benoit Nicol. Finally there will be free beer, hot dogs and popcorn. 7:00pm–9:30pm. Free.

3. You need to help your teen get a job. Send her or him to a resume writing workshop at the , Youth Wing, 3-4:30 p.m., Free.

4. You need to get the kids out of the house. It's a hike but worth it. So head to a  Sing-along with Rollie Pollie Guacamolie at . It takes place in the garden when weather permits, so call first to make sure it's happening at 718-788-2830. 365 5th Ave (between 5th and 6th St), 3:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m., $5 per family. Or, .

5. You need to know if your train is running and if you have to move your car. There are no planned subway changes affecting Prospect Heights today, according to the MTA. As for moving your car – the next alternate side suspension isn't until July 4, sadly, according to the NYC DOT.
