5 Things You Need to Know Today: P.S. 9 Movie Night, Southern Folk, Photo Show, More

Prospect Heights information and events you won't want to miss

1. You need to go to the movies, and support your local school. Do both at PS9's movie night. Tonight they're showing the animated film "Tangled," a modern take on Rapunzel. 80 Underhill Ave (between St. Marks and Bergen). 6 p.m. $5 donation which includes popcorn!

2. You need music. Head to  for the southen folk sounds of . 6 p.m. Free.

3. You need art. In that case, go the other direction, to , 721 Franklin Ave. at Park Place, for the opening of the   7 pm–10:30 pm. Free.

4. You need to get the kids out of the house. There's a 30 percent chance of rain, but it's supposed to be in the mid-50s. So it's a good day for the . 5. You need to know if your train is running, and if you have to move your car. The good news: the Q train is running during the day this weekend. But it's not running late at night north of Atlantic. From 12:15 a.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday, 7 a.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday you need to switch at Atlantic from the Q to the N to continue your trip, according to the MTA. Car owners: you'll be moving your car until Passover, April 19 and 20, when alternate side is next suspended, according to the NYC DOT.
