5 Things You Need to Know Today: Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Creative Play, Museum Moonlight Tour, More

1. You need to get to the Brooklyn Musuem. Tonight there's   which tonight features  an innovative poetry performance. There's also a "Moonlight Tour," on Ptolemaic Art. Events are free with museum admission of $10, $6 students and seniors. Tickets sometimes sell out on Thursday nights. You can get them in advance here.

2. You need to get to a good film. BAM continues its tonight with "Coming Home" with Jane Fonda, Jon Voight and Bruce Dern. There are showings at 4:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:50 p.m., but the 7 p.m. showing is followed with a Q&A with cinematographer Haskell Wexler via Skype.
