5 Things You Need to Know: Manga, Sewing and More

What you need to know to start your Tuesday off right

1. You need a new hobby. Visit the from 8:00-10:00pm at LaunchPad (721 Franklin Ave), where sewers of all levels can use their machines for free.

2. You need to test your trivia knowledge. Cheap drinks and challenging questions are the main staples of the at The Minor Arcana (706 Washington Ave.), where the winners get free drinks. 

3. You need fresh veggies. If you can't get out of work early to catch the farmers markets in the neighborhood, head to NYC's first at 366 Atlantic Ave. Fresh, organic produce from local farms will be available from 4:00-8:00.

4. You need to take the kids somewhere. Check out Central Library (10 Grand Army Plz.) for their event from 4:00-5:00pm, complete with anime movies and manga drawing sessions. Be sure to also check out our for a list of great family-friendly events in the neighborhood.

5. You need to know where to park your car. Alternate side parking rules are in effect.
