5 Things You Need to Know: Greenmarket, Fishing, Craft Fair, and more

Prospect Heights-area events you do not want to miss.

1. You need to get fresh produce. Head to the at Grand Army Plaza and take home fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, seafood and wine. The Greenmarket opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 4 p.m.

2. You need to go fishing. Hike through to the Audubon Center at the Boathouse, located just inside the Lincoln Road/Ocean Ave entrance to the Park for free fishing instructions. All children under 15 years of age are welcome to , starting at 1 p.m. through 3 p.m.

3. You need to buy some hand-made crafts. The is open to all and will showcase handmade jewelry, clothing, cards, food, gifts, vintage items made by local artisans, plus live music. Go to the LaunchPad located at 721 Franklin Ave. The fair starts at 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

4. You need to bring your kid to the library. This event is suitable for newborns to 5 years of age. Expect a fun day filled with toys and fun stories at The library is located at, 10 Grand Army Plz.

5.  You need to know if your train is running, and if you have to move your car. There will be no service changes this weekend, according to the MTA. As for moving your car, alternate side is not suspended again until the Feast of the Assumption on Monday, August 15, according to the NYC DOT.
