5 Things You Need to Know: Boot Camps, After Work Parties and More

Events around the neighborhood to start your day off right

1. You need to get in shape. is whipping the neighborhood into shape with a free Community Appreciation Boot Camp, held at Dean Street Park at 7:00am (521 Dean St).

2. You need to unwind after work. Join DJ Shoki at the B-Hive Lounge (990 Atlantic Ave.) for from 8:00pm-3:00am, with great reggae and hip-hop music and super cheap drink specials. 

3. You need to develop a new hobby. Central Library (10 Grand Army Plz.) is holding its weekly from 6:00-8:00pm, where you can learn or brush up on your skills in knitting, crocheting or embroidery.

4. You need to take the kids somewhere. Take them to the Brooklyn Children's Museum (145 Brooklyn Avenue) for their weekly day. There are plenty of hands-on activities there which are sure to keep them entertained. Be sure to also check out our with a list of great kids events in the neighborhood. 

5. You need to know where to park your car. Alternate side parking rules are in effect.
