5 Things: Bike Lane Meeting, Drop-In Drawing Workshop, More

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event highlights you won't want to miss.

 

1. You need a two-way bike lane (or not). Weigh in at the meeting of , which will discuss the Department of Transportation’s proposal to install a two-way bicycle lane on Plaza Street at Grand Army Plaza. 1 Prospect Park West, Turner Room, 6:30 p.m. 

2. You need to be artistic. How about a Drop-in Drawing Workshop at the Brooklyn Museum? The event is part of , which also includes a "Brooklyn Sights and Sounds" sensory tour, and performances by the Electro-pop group Body Language and Oneohtrix Point Never. The tour and music starts at 7 p.m., the drawing workshop starts at 7:30 p.m. $12 suggested admission plus $5 materials fee.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. Head to . 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. 145 Brooklyn Ave. bet. St. Marks and Prospect. Free with admission of $7.50 for everyone 1 year and older. See our  for more options.  

4. You need to know if your train is running ... It is! There are no planned service changes affecting Prospect Heights stations today, however you should note that between midnight and 5 a.m. all week, there will be no 4 trains south of Brooklyn Bridge. However 3 train service will be extended  to New Lots Avenue, according to the MTA

5. ... And if you have to move your car. You do. Alternate side won't be suspended again until Thursday, May 17 for Solemnity of the Ascension, according to the NYCDOT.
