5 Things: Food Truck Rally, Coney Island Sideshow Fundraiser, More

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event highlights you won't want to miss.

1. You need Peking Duck dumplings ... and waffles. Head to Grand Army Plaza for the season's first . Fifteen trucks will participate serving up everything from lobster rolls to Turkish tacos. Grand Army Plaza entrance to Prospect Park, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free (unless, of course, you want to eat ...)

2. You need some magic. Head to  for , an A-list-hosted magic show benefitting Coney Island, USA, a not-for-profit arts organization that runs the Coney Island Museum and Sideshow by the Seashore (which, if you haven't yet seen, is awesome and well worth the trip). 603 Vanderbilt at Bergen. 7 p.m. $10.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. This weekend is your only chance to see Puppetworks' Little Red Riding Hood. Reservations suggested at 718-965-3391 or puppetworks@verizon.net. 338 Sixth Ave. at Fourth Street. 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. $8 adults, $7 kids. There are a ton of events today; see our  for more options.

4. You need to know if your train is running ... There are no planned service changes affecting Prospect Heights stations over the weekend, but you should note that there are no 4 trains south of Brooklyn Bridge  and the Q train will be running through the tunnel on the way to Manhattan all weekend so leave extra time, according to the MTA

5. ... And if you have to move your car. Today, of course, you don't. But alternate side won't be suspended again until Thursday, May 17 for Solemnity of the Ascension, according to the NYCDOT.
