5 Things: One Last Holiday Bash, Burlesque, A Drum-Along and More

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

1. You need to satisfy your desire to hear live music. Revel in rousing performances by bands 45 Adapters and Dirty Spiders at the . DJs Ursa Major and Mr. Lee will be spinning reggae, soul, and punk classics before, between, and after the bands to create one big sonic sandwich. Union Hall, 702 Union St. at the corner of 5th Avenue, at 8:00 p.m. $7.

2. You need to spice up your week with something saucy. Head to The Way Station and take in tonight's show featuring Coco Masala, Dottie Dynamo, Evelyn Vinyl and Medianoche. The Way Station, 685 Washington between Prospect Place and St. Marks Place. Doors at 8:30 p.m. $10.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. As someone who grew up playing the drums, I can't help promoting such wallet-friendly rhythm training. Join Ivan at the "Kids Drum-Along" at , 365 5th Ave (between 5th and 6th St), 10 to 11 a.m., $5 per family.

4. You need to know if your train is running ... Between 11:50 p.m. and 5 a.m. weeknights through Dec. 30trains are running every 30 minutes between Atlantic Avenue and Stillwell Avenue. Brooklyn-bound trains will drop you at Pacific and you will have to walk to Atlantic and wait for the next leg (the reverse Manhattan-bound), according to the MTA. Bring a book, the wait can be pretty long.  

5. ... And if you have to move your car. You do. Alternate side parking has resumed, according to the NYCDOT.
