5 Things: Drop-In Drawing, Jazz, The Fancy Shapes, Sing-Along, More

Prospect Heights-area information and events you won't want to miss.

1. You need to get to the Brooklyn Museum more often. You live a few blocks away and haven't been there in months (or year). Why not go tonight? Besides all the exhibits, there's a  for $5 plus admission ($12 adults, $8 students and seniors) and a  (free with admission but space is limited, so get a ticket in advance at www.museumtix.com). 200 Eastern Parkway. 

2. You need a night out. Head to  where  are playing. 683 Washington Ave. Free.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. As usual we're choosing the 45-minute  as our Thursday pick because it's right in Prospect Heights, we hear Lloyd is great, and the cost is reasonable. , 755 Dean St (at the corner of Underhill Ave), 10:30 a.m., $5/family. But,  for more options (including the runner up, free late-afternoon admission at the Brooklyn Children's Museum).

4. You need to know if your train is running ...  There are no No. 2 trains between Brooklyn and Manhattan midnight to 5 a.m. all this week. Take the 4,5 or N trains with out-of-station free transfers at select Manhattan stops. Click here for details.

5. ... And if you have to move your car. Unfortunately, yes. The next alternate side suspension isn't until Thanksgiving, on Nov 25, according to the NYCDOT.
