5 Things: True Tales of Romance and Americana Music Showcase

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event highlights you won't want to miss.

 

1. You need music. Head to  for, where this week, Thomas Bryan Eaton and Bucky Hayes perform. 683 Washington Ave. bet. St. Marks and Prospect, 8 p.m. Free.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. Lot's to do today. Not only is there the  and the , but also the Brooklyn Children's Museum is open today as are several other venues. See our  for more options.  

4. You need to know if your train is running ... It is! There are no planned service changes affecting Prospect Heights stations all weekend. You should note, however, that all weekend there are no No. 4 trains south of Brooklyn Bridge and no No. 5 trains south of Grand Central. The No. 3 train service will be extended to New Lots Avenue, according to the MTA.

5. ... And if you have to move your car. You don't need to today, of course, and alternate side will be suspended Monday, May 28, for Memorial Day. After that you'll be moving it for awhile; the next alternate side suspension won't be until Wednesday, July 4, according to the NYCDOT
