4. You need to know if your train is running ... Today you're fine, but all weekend there are no No. 2 trains between Brooklyn and Manhattan. Take the No. 5 or R trains to nearby stations instead. Also over the weekend, Manhattan-bound No. 4 and 5 trains skip Eastern Parkway, Grand Army Plaza and Bergen Street, according to the MTA.

5. ... And if you have to move your car. Respite! Alternate side is suspended on Friday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day, according to the NYCDOT
