5 Things: Food Truck Rally, Snake and Turtle Hunt, Soul of Brooklyn Week, Cheap Comedy, More

Prospect Heights-area information and events you won't want to miss.

1. You need lunch. Head to Grand Army Plaza for the , where more than a dozen gourmet food trucks will converge.  11:00am–5:00pm. 

2. You need an afternoon out. Head to Five Myles Art Gallery where artisans, singers, DJs, dancers and visual artists will present their work as part of  noon to 5 p.m. 558 Saint Johns Pl.  There will also be food, crafts and art for sale and more. Free.

3. You need a good laugh. Tonight there's  at , a monthly comedy show hosted by Streeter Seidell  and Amanda Baramki. This month comedians include Sara Schaefer and Adam Newman both of Comedy Central's "Comics to Watch," as well as Mike Recine and Dan Gurewich. 8 p.m.  702 Union St. $5.

4. You need to get the kids out of the house. Head to Prospect Park for an activity kids and dads alike will enjoy: Turtles, Salamanders and Snakes... Oh My!, where you and Urban Park Rangers will try to find reptilies and amphibians coming out of hibernation. Picnic House at Prospect Park. noon, all ages, Free. Or, .

5. You need to know if your train is running and if you have to move your car. Brooklyn-bound 3 and 4 trains are running express between Atlantic and Utica Avenues all weekend, but the 2 train will be stopping at all local stations, according to the MTA. As for moving your car – the next alternate side suspension isn't until July 4, according to the NYC DOT.
