5 (Free) Things: Home Brew Swap, Talk on Brooklyn's Black History, Late-Night Q Delays, More

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

 

1. You need to show off your homebrew. Head to  for a . 700 Washington Ave. bet. St. Marks and Prospect. 6:30 p.m. Free. 

2. You need to learn more about Black history. Seize this last day of Black History Month by heading to the  for . 10 Grand Army Plaza, 7 p.m. Free.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. Head to the  for  for kids 0-18 months. Space is limited, so get there early to get a ticket at the Children's Reference Desk. 10 Grand Army Plaza, 10 or 10:30 a.m. Free. Wednesday is a particularly busy day for area kids events. 4. You need to know if your train is running ... During the day you're fine, but the late-night Q-train misery continues. Between 11:45 p.m. and 5 a.m. the Q train will drop you at Pacific and you walk over to Atlantic to catch the next leg of your trip, according to the MTA. The good news is that the track work is nearly done. The  and the late-night work will end March 16 if not earlier, an MTA spokeswoman said. Also note that  between 10 p.m. amd 5 a.m. through Friday.

5. ... And if you have to move your car. Alternate side won't be suspended again until Thursday, March 8 for Purim, according to the NYCDOT.
