5 Things: Dueling Documentaries, Beer Brewing Essentials, Free Acrobatics, More

Prospect Heights-area information and events you won't want to miss.

 

1. You need a good documentary. You've got two choices right at the : , with a wine and cheese reception beginning at 6:30 in the Central Brooklyn Collection, and , which also includes a discussion with the filmmaker and some of the girls who are profiled, at 7 in the Dweck Center. 10 Grand Army Plaza, Free. 2. You need to finally learn how to make your own beer. Head to Bitter and Esters for  6:30 to 8:30 p.m. 700 Washington Ave. $55.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. If you have older children, there's  a weekly drop-off class for ages 5-12. , 524 Bergen St. bet. Carlton and Sixth, 5-6 p.m. Free. Have younger kids? There's a ton of sing-alongs and other events today—see our  for more options. 

4. You need to know if your train is running ... It is! There are no service changes affecting Prospect Heights stations today, according to the MTA

5. ... And if you have to move your car. Not a lot of Wednesday street cleanings nearby, but if you are parked at one, you do. Alternate side won't be suspended again until Thursday, Dec. 8, according to the NYCDOT
